A wall sconce that throws light both up and down turns a plain wall into a soft frame of light, which helps in your hallway, beside a bed or on either side of a doorway. The Unni is a half round resin sconce with vertical fluting, and its LED washes light out of the top and bottom, so your wall glows above and below it.
It measures 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) tall, 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide and 3.1 inches (8 cm) deep, compact enough for a narrow hall or a bedside. The LED is included and has three color settings, warm, natural and cool white, so you can set the tone for each room. Choose white, gray, green or orange; the fluting catches light and shadow in every color. It is hardwired to a wall box and made for indoor, dry locations, so a licensed electrician should connect it. Use a pair beside your bed or a doorway, or run several along a stair or corridor.
