The knurled brass knob has weight in your hand, the rotation moves smoothly from full bright to almost off, and the surface develops a patina over time that tracks how the room is actually used. The dimmer is milled from solid brass and finished by hand. The mechanism is rated for over 100,000 rotations. It runs at 120VAC with triac (leading edge) dimming and handles up to 150W LED or 250W incandescent. UL listing covers the US and Canada. The fixture fits a standard US 1-gang electrical box for a quick swap by a licensed electrician.
