When two people share a bed, your reading light should reach your page and not the pillow next to you. The Kaia sits in the wall with its arm folded flush, and you pull the arm out to switch it on, so a focused beam lands where you read without disturbing the person beside you. Push it back in and it turns off and sits flat again.
The light is aluminum alloy with an integrated LED, and the head and arm both pivot, so you can aim the beam across a book or a desk. You choose a square or round head and one of two switch versions. The hidden switch version is 2 inches (5 cm) wide and 6 inches (15.5 cm) tall with a switch on the base of the arm; the push button version is 7 inches (17.8 cm) tall with a button on the face plate. Finishes are matte black, black with copper, copper and nickel, in warm white (3000K) or cool white (6000K). Its housing sits in a cutout in your wall and is hardwired, so a licensed electrician should fit it. Order a pair to light both sides of your bed.
