A bedside or reading corner needs light pointed at the page, not spread around the room. The Juni wall sconce pairs a colored iron cone shade with a round wooden wall mount, and the cone directs its light down and out, so your book or desk gets focused light while the rest of your room stays dim.
The shade is iron and the mount and collar are wood. The sconce is 7.5 inches (19 cm) long with a 5.9 inch (15 cm) shade opening, and the round wall plate is 3.9 inches (10 cm) across. Choose white, gray, yellow, pink, green or blue. You can order it with a pull chain switch, so you can turn it on from your bed, or without one to run it from the wall. It takes an E27 bulb, not included. It is hardwired to a wall box, so a licensed electrician should connect it.
