Hallways and entryways often get a bare bulb or a bulky fixture, when what you need is soft light that stays close to the ceiling. The Gerda hangs a frosted glass globe under a wide rubberwood disc, so your hall gets an even glow and a warm wood note without anything dropping into your headroom.
It is made of smooth rubberwood and frosted glass, and installs as a hardwired semi flush mount on a ceiling box. The small size is 7.1 inches (18 cm) across and 7.3 inches (18.5 cm) tall with a 3.9 inch (10 cm) globe; the large size is 11 inches (28 cm) across and 9.3 inches (23.5 cm) tall with a 5.9 inch (15 cm) globe. Each is rated for about 32 to 54 sq ft (3 to 5 m²), so you can run two or three down a long corridor. It takes a 7W G9 bulb. Have a licensed electrician connect it.
