A dimmer is one of the few switches you actually hold, so the way it feels matters as much as the way it looks. This rotary dimmer answers with a knurled brass knob that turns with a smooth, weighted resistance and sits proud of a 2mm solid brass panel. The panel is hand-brushed, so its surface is faintly uneven and unique on every plate, and the brass knob against the finished face gives the switch a two-material look that flat single-tone dimmers do not have.
Inside, TRIAC dimming gives you steady control across a wide range of bulbs: LED and halogen loads from 3W up to 150W, and incandescent from 40W up to a maximum rated 250W. It runs at 110-120 VAC and 50/60 Hz on a standard 1-gang American box, and it is UL certified to file E511941 for both the US and Canada. Overheat protection, a fire-prevention PC case, a 4k Vac Hi-Pot rating and a dimmable life of at least 10,000 cycles are built into the internal construction. The bottom box is bought separately.
